Some of you already know that we were traveling a lot this month. One of our trip brought us to France - to Chateau St. Julien l`Ars. We spent a week with the most amazing people I`ve ever met at the “Lovely Workshop” of the unbelievable talented & lovely Elizabeth Messina.

I have to say, I`m still searching for words to describe what we experienced during that few days - it was truly the experience of a lifetime, not less.
So my first blogpost is about the amazing Chateau we were guests at. It was just perfect: The scenery, the weather, the food - everything! Kim & Adam Bamberg (both also very talented photographers - check out their website: La Vie Photo , and you also may know Kim as one of the founders of Junebug Weddings) lived at this beautiful Chateau some time ago, helped to renovate it, and then gave all their heart & passion to get everything ready for us. I really felt at home there, they took care of us so well :)

I also want to use this blogpost to say a BIG thank you to the team of St. Julien & Kim`s mum, who cooked delicious food for us & were smiling all day.

So, all you people out there - please check back our blog very, very soon as I`ll make a lot of blogposts with amazing and almost unreal photos.

While we are enjoying the time at the workshop in France so much we got some great news: We got featured on a recent mail Cake & Pictures sent out to a lot of vendors, planners and other people all around the world.

So many months have we been looking forward to the month May - and now finally the time has come :)

May is a very special month for us. We`ve been working very, very hard over the past weeks for all the new things coming up this year and to prepare this month.

First destination in a few days is Italy. We are going there to get inspired, do some shootings, live our passion and develop our skills. It`s going to be a fun and amazing trip and we cannot wait to leave :)

The more exciting thing in May comes then after our Italy trip: We are attending our first workshop ever! Over the past years we`ve recognized a lot of talented photographers around the world giving workshops, but honestly we never found the right one we were interested in spending our time at.
Last year one of my favorite wedding photographers, Elizabeth Messina, from the US  announced her Lovely Workshop in France and when I read the description I knew this would be the perfect one for us!! It is not just one of those workshops where you discuss technical stuff or just business stuff, the essence of the Lovely Workshop is to spend time with handpicked photographers from all around the world and a lot of other really talented wedding pros from the US - learn together, live together for 1 week, having fun, being creative and enjoy our passion. It is far more than any other workshop I heard about so far.
So, a few days ago a package with lovely giftbags already arrived at our home. These giftbags were so cute and filled with magazines, the amazing book of Jacqueline Tobin “Wedding photography unveiled”, gifts from Twigs & Honey, home-baked cookies made by Elizabeth herself (*mmmhhh*) and a lot of other wonderful stuff! Thanks a lot Elizabeth and all you other guys who prepared these little things for us!!

I cannot wait to meet everyone in France - gonna be an amazing and life-changing experience!!

Wednesday morning, 7.30 am, postman rung the bell - YEAY, he delivered the beautiful wedding album of Natalia & Sandro, the couple who got married back in January in Arosa / Switzerland.

I was really thrilled to see the album, because I knew it would look so amazing! And it really was beyond my expectations when I opened the box.
Natalia & Sandro had chosen a square format, 30 x 30 cm, with about 39 double spreads. The white leather looks just stunning and complements the nice photo of the newlyweds beneath the crystal cover perfectly. But you should have a look yourself now :)

Natalia & Sandro, it was such a pleasure to design this album for you. It belongs to the most stunning albums I`ve ever seen, you guys have a good taste ;) Hope you enjoy to look at this beautiful piece  for the rest of your life!!!

We LOVE to talk to people who share the same passion for wedding photography like us. Over the past years we found a lot friends all over the world which is sooooo cool!! (Hello all you guys out there :))

Over the past 1,5 years I became friends with a very, very special person and amazing artist: Melanie Meissner of Hochzeitslicht from Berlin in Germany.
In December 2008 she wrote me one of the cutest Emails I ever got to get in contact with us. Of course I replied quickly and just a few days later we talked for the first time on the phone. Since then we write emails almost every week and talk regularly on the phone (and when we get on the phone we have a lot to talk about and it takes several hours ;D). From  our first contact I felt that the chemistry was right between us, so great!
Melanie became a very special friend to me, because she is not only an amazing photographer but also a really impressing person with a BIG heart!!!

Yesterday I opened my mailbox and there was such a cute postcard in it. Melanie sends me really funny and cute postcards every now and then and every time I get one that makes my day because I have to laugh when I open the envelope :D Here is a photo of some of her cool cards she sent me:

I`m really honored that Melanie will cover a wedding for us this year in Switzerland and cannot wait to meet her again! Please everyone, visit her homepage and leave her some comments on her blog.
